Activities for crew
Unwind and explore
Crew members at Jones Bay Superyacht Marina can enjoy various activities in Sydney, including exploring Sydney Harbour, visiting Darling Harbour’s attractions, strolling through Pyrmont, sampling seafood at the Sydney Fish Market, relaxing at nearby parks, shopping and dining in the CBD and The Rocks, enjoying cultural excursions, visiting Sydney’s beaches, staying active with fitness options, and experiencing Sydney’s vibrant nightlife.
Food and drink
Crew, guests and owners are encouraged to explore Pyrmont Village sprawling along Harris Street. There are a number of boutique cafes, beer & wine bars, restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Within a short walk to the west is the new internationally acclaimed Sydney Fish Markets and to the east is the Darling Harbour entertainment precinct, Tumbalong Park, China Town and the expanse of Sydney City.
Beaches
A visit to Sydney would not be complete without a walk, swim, surf or relax on one of our famous beaches. Located within 10km is the world famous Bondi Beach including the scenic walk to Bronte, Tamarama and Clovelly. Or take the tender and explore magical harbour beaches such as Parsley Bay, Neilson Park and Quarantine Beach. Marina staff are keen surfers and sailors so please reach out for recommendations based on current weather conditions.
Shopping
The central shopping precinct in Sydney punches well above it’s weight. With high end retailers located in heritage buildings you can find the perfect gift in a beautiful setting. Pictured here is the historic Strand Arcade, located on George Street along with Queen Victoria Building (QVB) and Pitt Street Mall. All within a short walk of Jones Bay Superyacht Marina. Also within a short drive are the suburbs of Surry Hills, Paddington and Double Bay offering a mix of premium retailers.
Art & culture
From concerts to galleries, art openings and shows, Sydney has a rich cultural centre. Within a short distance from the marina is the Sydney Lyric Theatre with other local theatres including Capitol Theatre, State Theatre and ICC Theatre. For world famous galleries we recommend the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Australian National Maritime Museum. Also within the local area are a number of independent galleries including White Rabbit Gallery, ATTY Gallery and China Heights.
